Good book -- if you can read mindsJan 16, 2010 As other reviewers have said, this book presents tutorials in a step-by-step manner. The problem is, the author leaves out some steps. Rather important steps, too. I've had to resort to Adobe help, tips on the web, and finally youtube. Putting all that together, I am working my way through the book. In all fairness, I don't think I could make headway without the book; just don't look on it as the definitive source to learn everything. Be prepared to use it as a supplement.
Great book for begining web design and learning fireworksDec 31, 2009 I have used Photoshop for years but vector program have always been a bit of a mystery to me. I picked up this book because I am relearning Dreamweaver CS3 and wanted to learn Fireworks. This is a great step by step tutorial. I have only had to use the help menu to look up a componet once. I am on chapter 05 and I already have two well desined websites comped.
Great book!!!Apr 03, 2009 This book is awesome for someone new the CS3. This book came at exactly the right time for me. It really walks you through Photoshop to Dreamweaver integration very easily. It is written for anyone who can read and follow instructions. Stellar book.

Too many errorsJan 24, 2009 Well, I am only 20 pages short of finishing this book, but I am giving up in frustration. There are just too many errors for a book of this type. Spelling errors, factual errors, and poor instructions. Granted, there were a few helpful sections, but I really had to work my way through them, trying to determine what the author MEANT to say, as opposed to what he actually published. Its too bad, really. He came pretty close with this one, its a great idea, but it just doesn't work.
I would also advise beginners to avoid this one. This book assumes you already have a certain level of confidence with CS3.

A true review about this bookJan 12, 2009 Im giving this book a bad review for several reasons. I have not finished this book though, but i feel that it isnt a great guide to Adobe's CS3 programs for what i've read. Because I read up to the fourth section and was so lost in trying to figure out what was I doing in Dreamweaver, i put it down and decided not to finish it. This book seems more to be designed for someone that has been introduced to the porgram or knows some about the program (dreamweaver), which isnt what i was looking for in a book. I was looking for a good book to help me learn how to merge them.
I took one star away because the price you pay for the book, you still have to download the files from a web page... That to me is cheezy, because there's alot of better books out there that include the CD, and what will happen when they decide to take the site down, then your paddling up a river in having the needed software for the book, because you HAVE TO have the files to complete this book..
The second star taken away for the actual written instructions were so bad, i went back several times to make sure i did them correctly in the section over Dreamweaver because i kept getting an end result that wasnt wwhat was displayed on the examples...
The third star, I feel that there is no explination in CSS, i have read some books over CSS, and this book barely covers about it, but it tells you to do so much within Dreamweaver for it, but no explination on why you are doing it, it just says here, do this, and then do this..
I am very disapointed in this book......
when i learn more about dreamweaver and flash, i will go back and re-do this book, but for now, this book isnt designed for beginners
