EXCELLENT BOOK!Aug 10, 2009 I read this book from cover to cover I learn a lot about Facebook. I became sorta addicted to Facebook. After four weeks I had to find a way to block facebook. Right now I downloaded this program [...] to help me with my addiction ;-(

Already obsolete because Facebook has had a FaceliftAug 04, 2009 Since this book was published, Facebook looks quite a bit different and many of the functions described are either no longer working the same, if at all. This is tricky with books about Social Networking sites, that can change and be made "better" at any time. Yet, the authors don't address that up front, like other authors about other websites do. The book would be mildly helpful for a new user to Facebook, if they can decode the old Facebook from the new Facebook.
great helpAug 02, 2009 I really object to the time it take s to rate all my books and purchases.. guess you need to remove me frome your rating list. thanks

Out of DateJul 28, 2009 This was probably a very worthwhile book a year and a half ago when it was written. But Facebook has undergone so many changes since then, that the book today is only of marginal value to a new user like me. Illustrations and instructions bear little resemblance to the Facebook you see on your computer screen. Book needs updating badly. Thank goodness for friends who were able to guide me through.

Danger, Will Robinson!Jul 21, 2009 I got the Kindle download, was merrily following along until the very-entertaining writers got down to actual screens, apps, etc and ... hunh?
Reviews on Kindle fail to mention that it is woefully out-of-date. Screens have all undergone one or more major revamps since it was promulgated and many things they instruct about simply no longer exist, as in: "Cool! I can see who of my friends is online now?!... WHAT arrow in the center of the right side!?" A trip to FB online Help says: Nope! Feature: intermittent - and constantly moving around as FB's techies continue to tinker.
The book is good for general concepts - only that and nothing more. Otherwise, it frequently resembles a guide to US IRS Form 1040 based on Canadian forms.
