4If you want to have an out line of how to get started using AdWords with Google this is it.Oct 02, 2009
I bought this book, along with two others from Amazon. As soon as I received the book and started to read I realized how little I knew about what I was trying to do. I am embarased to say that I have a BBA and MBA degrees, with a concetration in marketing. However, my degrees were earned 1979 and 1981. What I learned in school was not much help with working with AdWords and Google I new the theory but not the practice. The book put me on the right tract.

5Great AdWords / Online Marketing 101Sep 06, 2009
This is a great book that give you an introduction to Google AdWords, Search Engine Marketing and a general perspective on online marketing. The book is easy to read, split up logically into short chapters. Takes about 3 hours to get through - very easy to understand. I've been running SEM for various companies and always recommend this book to my clients: check it out >> [...]

1All Hype, No SubstanceAug 29, 2009
Author claims he can make you rich with Google. Not exactly. He talks crazy-excited about ways to cut your Google advertising expense to almost nothing, then states in chapter 12: "When someone clicks on your ad, Google charges you 50 cents, regardless of what happens next". That contradicts what he writes in other chapters about slashing your Google add costs. This fellow is talking hype out of both sides of his rear end, and both opinions smell just as bad. Don't waste your money on this book - he contradicts himself too often for comfort. This guy is a carnival barker - promising the moon, delivering nothing.

2Google starts strong then steals your moneyAug 28, 2009
Every small business advertising on Google's Adworks should be warned. Google is running ads or charging when my account is charged, they run out of the target, and I believe are counting clicks that did not count. If you emal them, they just give a lame excuse. Google has an active class action suit against it and they continue to do it. Google is never going to give you a fair shake or any money back.
I suggest people with problem sith Google Adworks to file a small claims case (it cost about $50) and it will cost Google alot more. That is what I am doing and it makes no difference that I am listed on the class action.
I am bringing Google to Small Claims individually for each infraction I have a question about. After all in Court,Google will have to answer my questions to my account and not just an instant reply email giving some bull excuse that we the advertisers don't undertand because it is internet stuff. That is Crap, don't buy it, sue.

5Warning! Read this Book Before You Launch an Adwords Campaign!Aug 23, 2009
I purchased this book and took it with me on my vacation to Mexico. It was the best 6 hour plane ride (3 hours to and back) I've ever had. Perry and Bryan were able to explain critical concepts that you MUST know before you even attempt to start an Adwords campaign.

Some people might complain that there isn't enough detail in this book. But detail is not what get's you killed in Adwords. You must understand critical concepts and those concepts are all well laid out. And I love the "Uncle Claude" segments. They are priceless (which just shows that Perry and Bryan are students of the masters of advertising).

I give this book a 5 star rating. Buy it.
